I've just discovered that my indoor wheels have ABEC 3s. Should I get maybe 5s or 7s instead for indoor stuff?

For everyone:

Just found these on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0343483840

I have gone for the Boomerangs as recommended by Roisin.

He has tonnes of outdoor wheels & he is based in leicester. It says collection is fine so feasibly if anyone orders & pays I may be able to pick up for you & bring them on Saturday.

Nitro x

Hey ladies,

I really want to buy outdoor wheels but have no idea where to begin. I looked on Kates Skates today but no idea which wheels are outdoor.

http://www.kateskates.co.uk/store.html? ... 2142577923

When I buy wheels do I need to buy bearings as well? I'm not that clued up about wheels etc.

Thank you

xx

kates skates are pretty expensive, it maybe better to wait until there is an order going to sin city (a lot of poeple tend to jump in on one to make ther shipping costs cheaper) tbh x

Thank you. Yeah may do but are all the wheels on that page a mix of both outdoor and indoor? I asked in that skate shop in Brighton but they didnt have a clue about the wheels for the quads. They tried to sell me a 4 pack for £50! Thought that was way toooo expensive. Some of the 8 packs on Kates Skates are like £21 so not too bad x

i can tell u which are outdoor and which are indoor. I personally fancy getting some hybrids as the shape is the same which would feel more normal x

Apart from the SFR Storm Racing, they all look like outdoor wheels to me. Yes you will need to get a set of bearings (2 per wheel, so that's 16 in total); ABEC 1's are fine for outdoors. Do make sure you get bearings with the correct mm diameter as they come in both 7mm and 8mm (one is for skateboards; Fury normally orders mine!)

Cheers
Skatrix x

I got the vanguard boomerangs & they are beautiful, should think I have put about 100 miles on them so far over the past couple of months.

Let me know if you do think of buying from this guy cos I can collect them for you, he's 5 mins from my work x
