You probably already know that Rainy City Roller Girls are holding a boot camp for newbies intermediates and budding refs and NSOs on 30th January 2010.
Tickets are on sale now, there are about 14 left in each category (5 NSOs) so if you want to go, get in quick!

I've just booked a ref place, thought I'd start making myself useful on the inside track first...

Yeah, there was a thread about this somewhere else. I'll be buying a newbie skater ticket tomorrow so if anyone wants to make the journey on the train next year with me, I'll be glad to have a travel buddy.

Well, all going to plan I'll probably be getting one from Manc Piccadilly to New Street at 7/8pm.

Fyta - once you nail cross overs you'll be flying, but it can take a while. It took me months to get the hang of it, and I had to get a bit of 1 on 1 Attack training to really start getting it.

I haven't booked up because I can't afford it atm.

yeah i think i am to much of a challenge for attack lol

i suppose time and advice is what i need

but it just seems never ending

Book for this, Fyta, then you will have a target date.
And Attack never backs down from a challenge, so just bet her that she can't teach you crossovers...

We are running a newbies training camp in Jan 2010. an integral part of this will be a referees training camp.

We will be covering rules, hand signals, refs skating skills and bout / NSO management.
