Hi all

Four skaters from the Birmingham Blitz Dames Roller Derby team will be leaving their wheels at home and running 13.1 miles on Sunday 11th October to raise money for the Birmingham Women's Hospital.


Training Director Sleazy Rider, hard hitter Bitchy the Killer and star jammers Roisin Roulette and Kiki Kasplat decided just two weeks ago to step out and raise money for such an important local charity.

Come and support us on the day! We will be easily recognisable running together in our bouting kit (minus pads and skates). Also, look out for many of our supporters and team mates in the crowd and come and say hello!

I'm so sorry everyone, but I'm not going to be able to run tomorrow. A long-term derby back injury was re-ignited in Middlesbrough mid-Spetember, which stopped me training, and then after a run or two I was struck down to my bed by a cold last Thursday. I feel completely unprepared and still have said cold. In fact, this morning I have woken up and it feels worse!!! Argh. So I am going to support from the sidelines.

Roisin some of us will be at the bag drop at 9am to take your bags from you, we will then go off to starbucks :D

The rest of the cheer leaders can meet at centianary square for the start at 10am. we can then sort out if we will play it by ear if ppl want to walk to differnt places on the way round or just wait at the end and make loads of dames noise.
