Saturday is Mates Skates Day!

Just to remind everyone that we are having two more Mates Skates sessions during the summer break. :cheer

Tomorrow and next Saturday we will be at Aston Arena from 10-12, everyone's welcome, including members of other leagues, inliners, guys and family members.

This is a chance to just skate around and chat, get help working on little bits and pieces of technique or just do your own thing in the company of other skaters.
Two hours of skate-tastic fun for a measly £5.00 (pay on the day).

You will need your own skates and protective equipment, as this is off-season we don't have access to the Dames kit, but if you're stuck for anything, post a request here and we'll see if we can help.

Can I just add to that... please bring music on CD's or mp3 players as Bob put some terrible boy band stuff on when music was requested!
- having music whilst skating made it even more fun even if its terrible!

Desperate as I am to skate, I think I'll be too busy this week as my BFF's comin up for a film festival. That's right I'm ditching my mates skating to watch telly with a smelly boy. What am I LIKE????

I'll pay if you need it, tho!

last session next week, i wanted to say thanks to all of you who made the sessions work. They have been a laugh and some serious skills development has been happening in those shallow ends.

i may bring malcom next week as its the last one and i have the start of the season to look forward to. she wears baby in lines (3 wheel skates) so if mr lashes is brave he can teach her to skate backwards although if anyone can help her go forward that would be good.

I have size 6 outdoor skates, I've used them indoors too and they're fine, just a bit softer than derby wheels.
I'll bring them and then Ully'll have a choice. :-D

Sadly these skates won't have arrived by Saturday...

Just like the skates I had when I was six!

Alas the pic has gone from ebay, thye're the ones that you put on over your shoes.
And they have wooden wheels!
