I wasn't sure where to post this topic, but here seems like the best place for it.
Just advice really on comfort when skating. After Saturday's practice I had some lovely rub marks on my right foot, a small one at the front of my ankle, one on the outer side of my foot and a really sore one on the inside of ankle against the bone.
I wear pretty thick socks during practice and my left foot doesn't seem to be a problem. But I was wondering if anyone has run into problems with rubbing and how they solved them?
Is there something I can do about it? Or is it just one of those things that you have to deal with until the skates are properly broken in?

I also have trouble with foot comfort - if I have my laces too tight my feet go numb and the tops of my feet feel bruised, but if I have them too loose I get blisters and rubbing. Can't find a happy medium.

Yeah I have a problem with my right foot, inside ankle rubbing. I now have a gel insole in that shoe which I cut in half, so the toe area isnt tight, but the heel area is raised. This has reduced the chafe from the skate.
Criss cross lace up is better too. I also bought fabric scholl pads which are circular- I slot one in around the ankle, so it is not in direct contact with the skate.
Trial and error I'm afraid, but it has helped me.
Suzette. x

Thanks for the advice JC, Bee and Suzette! I looked at the lace pattern suggested on fishnet burns, think ill try that and see how it goes, other wise ill be taking a sneaky peek inside your skates to see how you've placed your insoles lol

Yes thanks - I have a permanent hole in the inside of my right foot I swear it's getting deeper every time, I am scared it will go all the way through & people will be able to look through my foot!

I think it's to do with how I distribute my weight when I do crossovers & there is a seam that must rub in the same place every goddamn time I skate. It never has time to heal properly before I skate again..
Think I am gonna try & mold a piece of leather to cover the seam or something.. not sure, I do shoes so my technician is gonna help me :)
